The Domaine Causse Marines strives to give pride of place to the indigenous grape varieties traditionally grown in the Gaillac region.
The Causse Marines estate was named in 1993 after the name of the brook, Marines, which marks the bottom of the property. The entire vineyard, located in the commune of Vieux, extends over a very thin limestone plateau, so the name of the estate was quite appropriate…
The entire vineyard is harvested (and sorted) by hand. The wines are vinified and matured without any artificial or chemical additives. Fining and filtration are limited to their simplest expression. Some of the vintages are completely free of sulphur.
