A new immersive playground for everyone to learn while having fun!

Mountaneô is a museographic space dedicated to biodiversity and mountain discovery. Discover its resources and the animals that inhabit it! Discover the Orlu National Reserve through interactive displays. Learn all about hydroelectricity with an immersive game (Hydrogame) and a visit to the Orlu hydroelectric power station. Hike to discover the marmots in the National Reserve.
Let the forest of sounds surprise you with its forty poetic sound machines, and discover many other surprises!
The Ariege Pyrenees are a great place to play and recharge your batteries, with a host of surprises in store… We invite you to take a fresh look at the mountains and let your senses guide you through a fun, immersive and interactive experience!

> Museum space

The visit takes place in 3 stages (to be freely organized): discover the museum area, take part in the Hydrogame and visit the hydroelectric power station (visit to the power station on registration at Mountanêo reception, included with your admission ticket – offered by EDF).
The first stage of your visit is to discover water, hydraulic energy and the industry present in the Orlu valley. An immersive, interactive Hydrogame will give you a better understanding of the challenges and benefits of this energy!
Continue your visit with a play area designed for young and old alike: a first play area to stimulate your thoughts and senses and take part in the Hydrogame, a second area dedicated to children aged 3 to 12, offering them a simple, fun approach to the path of water in the mountains.
Next, enter the Maison de la Réserve: an immersive, living space where a discovery trail awaits you. Explore the different natural areas of the Orlu reserve, its flora and fauna, and put your senses to the test: experience the mountain before you discover it, for real!

Accompanied by a guide, discover the flora and fauna of the Orlu valley! Stroll along the footpaths and open your eyes wide as the mountain reveals its secrets!
We propose a 1/2-day hike: La balade aux marmottes!

Full-day or 2-day hikes are only available for groups (schools, works councils, associations, etc.).
