In every season, you can dive into the atmosphere of our international festivals and participate in major festivities, taking you to the heart of our festive, friendly, life-filled region. On these pages you will find some of our not-to-be-missed event!

Spring

Dance, music, sailing and kite-surfing

In early April, take a trip to Sète for the Escale à Sète the biggest gathering of old sailing ships on the Mediterranean coast. Then watch the hair-raising spectacle provided by kite-surfers at the Mondial du Vent event on the Étang de Leucate.

In Toulouse, immerse yourself in world culture on the banks of the River Garonne at the Festival Rio Loco.
In the Gers region, the world's finest voices can be heard at the exceptional heritage venues of the Eclats de Voix Festival.
You can also book tickets in Montpellier for the Printemps des Comédiens, an XXL theatre festival.

The Fise World in Montpellier, Europe's biggest freestyle sports competition, brings together over 500,000 spectators each year to admire the world's top extreme-sport riders.

Summer

Major concerts and headline acts

In July, the Festival de Carcassonne is a treat for fans of rock, French pop or metal, and lights up the ramparts of the most beautiful medieval city in France. Montpellier Danse is France's number one dance festival.

Pause Guitare in Albi and Les Déferlantes Sud de France in Argelès-sur-Mer are festivals featuring the top French and international artists. Tempo Latino transforms Vic-Fesenzac into the world Salsa capital. Estivada brings all the Occitan cultures to Rodez.

Lastly, from 1 to 15 August, Jazz in Marciac is an exceptional festival attracting all the major names in world jazz.

Pause Guitare in Albi

At the foot of Albi Cathedral and in the big Pratgraussals park, see a whole host of international artists performing in a magnificent atmosphere!
Santana, James Blunt, Deep Purple, Ben Harper, ZZ Top have all played here. Who known who will be playing at the next Pause Guitare!

Autumn

Music and contemporary circus

In September, don't miss the International Piano Jacobin Festival and hear great performers in a magical venue, the Jacobin cloister, right at the heart of Toulouse. In October, the Toulouse Les Orgues organ festival unleashes unique emotions all over the "pink city", while the Internationales de la Guitare turns Montpellier into the guitar capital.

In late October, Auch is the setting for Circa, the international meeting place for the top European circus companies.

In early September, Perpignan hosts Visa pour l’Image, the international festival for photo journalism. Free admission to all the exhibitions with a selection of photo reports from all over the world.

Winter

Armagnac, truffes and … TV series

La Flamme de l’Armagnac, from October to January, features special events in the villages of Gascony with evenings around the alcohol still, craft markets, exhibitions and shows.

If you want to grasp the mysteries of black truffles, don't miss the 3rd weekend of January in Uzès: the Truffle Weekend takes place on the pretty Place aux Herbes.

In early February, get a foretaste of the best new TV series at the Festival des Créations Télévisuelles de Luchon with the participation of the stars of the small screen.
