The origins of the Manade date back to 1920, with the bulls devoted exclusively to Camargue racing. The manade has been handed down from generation to generation since 1957. Our bulls have a reputation for being very tough. ANDALOU, one of our bulls, has been back at the top of the bill for Grand Finals, and since 2007 has once again enabled our azure-blood-and-gold motto to take part in major competitions. Manade A Espelly welcomes you to Mas San Miguel, located on the Via Tolosana, one of the four roads to Santiago de Compostela and the Templars’ route to the Crusades. When you arrive, you’ll enter an enchanting site. A park around the reception hall awaits you. It has a surface area of 300 m², with disabled access, as well as adapted sanitary facilities. An assembly laboratory and cold room are also equipped with a fireplace, tables and chairs, where you can gather for weddings, christenings, anniversaries, gala evenings, seminars and congresses…… To enhance your stay, we suggest a visit to the manade, on a towed wagon, with commentary by the manadier. He will explain the way of life of these animals, their selection, the work in the herd and share with you the passion that drives us for at least 1h30, OR a ferrade, which is the branding of the calves of the year, at the manade, brought by the gardians, (prices on request), or cows in the Bouvaou for the more daring who want to learn about the Camargue race for which they are bred and selected, (prices on request).
