Château de Bosc
DOMAZAN , Gard
About
Tourist area: bike & motorcycle museum, children’s museum, great treasure hunt; tasting and sale of Château de Bosc organic, sulfite-free wines.
Guillaume Reynaud comes from a family of winemakers of which he is the fifth generation. Before him, Claude, Louis, Gabriel and Jean-Louis produced wine in Domazan from 1903.
After studying oenology, he took over his parents’ property, Château de Bosc, and completely rebuilt it. Today, the vines with their exceptional terroir allow him to produce wines with a strong personality. His real passion is oenological research.
He is known for having invented a new way of vinifying, allowing him to produce wines without sulphites.
His accomplice is a renowned oenologist with whom he forms an efficient tandem: Jean-Philippe Trollet. The latter is a leading figure in the wine world. In fact, Jean-Philippe Trollet was named “Winemaker of the year” in 2009 by the prestigious International Wine Challenge. The complicity that unites the two men in oenological research is real and very effective.
