CHATEAU DE GOURGAZAUD

LA LIVINIERE , Hérault

About

Perched in its pine forest and leaning against the foothills of the Montagne Noire, the Château de Gourgazaud is one of the pioneers in the development of quality wines from the Minervois. The Château, mentioned on maps as early as the 17th century, was restored to its present form in 1833. Lost in the heart of its 100-hectare vineyard, the Château is like an island. Its different terroirs offer a wide range of grape varieties, from reds, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon, to whites, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Viognier.
