Château Vessière

SAINT-GILLES , Gard

About

Since 2007, Vincent and his wife Lucie have been following in the footsteps of the family business. Together, they have transformed the estate’s winegrowing techniques in converting the estate to organic farming practices, and in taking over the development of the business.

From one generation to the next, we like to pass on family photos and memories to our descendants.

In the Teulon family, the treasure that has been passed down from father to son for seven generations is a sixty-five-hectare wine estate, managed in the spirit of sustainable agriculture since Vincent and Lucie took over.

Having started with conventional farming methods when he took over the estate, Vincent has progressively worked towards integrated farming, limiting the use of phytopharmaceutical products as much as possible. In 2009, sexual confusion and limiting the use of pesticides finally led him to take the plunge into organic farming.

Weedkillers, synthetic chemicals and insecticides are now completely outlawed.
A return to the roots of agriculture, with the essential aim of constantly improving the authenticity of the wines and taking full advantage of the qualities of the terroir.
Production, sale and tasting of organic AOP Costières de Nîmes wines.

Visits to the estate by appointment Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm.
