About
An exceptional terroir for the 9th generation of this line of winegrowers, who have lived on this historic property near the Camargue ponds since 1791.
A summer residence for the abbots of Saint Gilles since the 12th century, vines have been cultivated on the Château d’Espeyran estate since 1257.
The Sabatier d’Espeyran family purchased the château and its estate at the end of the 18th century. Major renovations were undertaken to create a resort and reception area, as well as the center of a rich agricultural operation.
Vineyards were planted in 1796 and became the property’s main crop.
Blaise de Bordas, the worthy descendant of the family, recognized by his family for his commitment, his passion and his attachment to family values, has passed on the destiny of the d’Espeyran estate.
Through his AOP Costières de Nîmes wines, he is committed to magnifying this exceptional terroir, reflecting a mosaic of vast open spaces, a rich environment and the beauty of its historic buildings…
Château d’Espeyran is listed as a historic monument, and has been awarded the Maison des Illustres label.
