About
The Boissel family, artisan winemakers in Gaillac in the south-west of France, will help you discover authentic, sincere wines that respect organic farming methods. Duras, Braucol, Mauzac, Loin de l’œil….
Situated on the first limestone terroirs of the Plateau Cordais, in Gaillac (south-western wines), the vines of Domaine de Brousse have been worked by the Boissel family for 4 generations: my great-grandfather, Florian Boissel, founded the estate in 1921.
Then 3 generations of winemakers succeeded one another at Domaine de Brousse.
In fact, since 1981, my parents Susanne and Philippe have been working every day to maintain this family heritage, which is so dear to them, and have never ceased to develop their profession as winemakers in order to create wines with an assertive personality.
So I, Amandine, am the 4th generation. In 2016, after 10 years of professional wanderings in Paris, I decided to open a new chapter in the history of the estate. I decided to convert the family estate’s 10 hectares to organic farming. Tradition, experimentation and freedom are the identity of the estate.
The wines have always been made simply, with no chemical inputs and very little sulphite, to allow the terroir to express itself without artifice. Our commitment to organic farming is a natural step towards this quest for purity and respect for our vineyards.
Since 2019, the estate has been organically farmed, an obvious choice for the whole family.
