CHÂTEAU DE SERIEGE
CRUZY , Hérault
About
Located in Cruzy between the Black Mountain and the Mediterranean Sea, at the crossroads of the Saint-Chinian and Minervois appellations and bordering the Canal du Midi, this very old Languedoc castle belonged to the Viscounts of Narbonne until the 13th century. The estate of Sériège, consisting of more than 100 ha of vines between 3 and 80 years old, 30 ha of fields and 50 ha of woods, is managed since 2003 by Barthélémy d’Andoque de Sériège On a clay-limestone soil, different grape varieties from various regions of France are developed: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from Bordeaux, Syrah from the Côtes du Rhône, but also local grape varieties such as Grenache, Cinsaut, Carignan and Caladoc in order to preserve their typicity. The vineyard is managed with respect for the environment while controlling the yields in order to obtain an optimal maturity of the grapes. The Château de Sériège also opens its doors to you for your most beautiful receptions: rental of a room possible and large park with trees.
