About

Originally from Burgundy, the Jeannin family arrived in 1990 to take over this estate. The terroir, composed of black schist, lies along the Agly valley, at the foot of the Tour del Far. The vines surround a beautiful house dating from the last century, which has been restored over several years. In the centre of the estate, another fine building houses the cellars from which many bottles are shipped to various countries. The black earth (cremat means burnt) of these hillsides produces very colourful wines, with dark ruby, liquorice and morello cherry hues. The family’s commitment to sustainable viticulture and the fact that they have been awarded High Environmental Value certification are to be commended, as is the fact that they work the vines by hand and use reasoning at every stage of production.
