About

Hiking with a donkey in Haute-Ariège… We offer a wide range of hiking and walking options, from day trips to itinerant tours, with bivouacs or accommodation.
In winter, half-day, full-day or 2-3 day hikes.

The donkey carries luggage and/or children (over 3 years old), up to a maximum weight of 35 kg. Cuddly, mischievous and endearing, they know how to be appreciated: they’re the ideal companions for family outings. A willing participant, he’s also a good walker.

In winter: half-day or full-day hikes, usually departing from Appy. Possibility of 2-3 days. We do not offer farm visits.

From early July to late August in the Orlu valley:
We propose a day’s walk with a donkey, to meet the marmots in the sumptuous Orlu Valley. This walk takes you through the reserve, a privileged observation site for mountain flora and fauna.
After an easy 1-hour walk, the valley opens out onto wide open spaces, the domain of summer pastures and herds.
The walk continues to the end of the jasse d’En Gaudu, and returns by the same route. Take your time to appreciate… From here, you can watch and listen to the whistling of marmots, as well as the occasional isard, large birds of prey and beautiful butterflies!
Departure between 9.15 and 11 a.m. from the Fanguil parking lot, at the entrance to the reserve, return at any time.

Over 2 or 3 days, you can also take “your” donkey up to the Etang d’En Beys (3h30 walk) to sleep in a bivouac or at the En Beys refuge. The donkey goes no further than the refuge.

Half-day or full-day hikes depart from “la ferme aux ânes”.
