2 – SWIMMING LESSONS

For this summer, the lifeguard Camille offers swimming lessons for children at the municipal pool of Espalion.

Objective to reach: Level “Aquatic proficiency”

Children from the end of Kindergarten

Package of 10 lessons for two consecutive weeks

– immersion (being able to immerse the whole body in water),
– aquatic breathing,

– horizontal balance (be able to perform a ventral and dorsal starfish),

– jumping in the deep end (without equipment),

– fluttering (be able to move without equipment).

Objective to reach: “Breaststroke” level

Children from the end of CP

Package of 10 lessons over two consecutive weeks

– introduction to diving,

– vertical diving,

– crossing a water line (without touching it),

– learning the breaststroke.

It is important to master the “Aquatic Fluency” level in order to access the “Breaststroke” level because the child must be comfortable in the water, notably be familiar with immersion, balance and breathing in order to be able to manage difficult situations.
