The refuge was built in 1970 by the National Park. It is located on the shores of Lake Ilhéou. After 18 years of management by the National Park, it was taken over by the Syndicat de la vallée de Saint-Savin. It is also called Raymond Ritter refuge. Height difference: 650 m Departure : At the exit of Cauterets, follow the route du Cambasque to the terminal car park (1340 m) Access : Follow the track that goes up the Cambasque valley to the refuge.
