DESCRIPTION
The abbey church of Sainte-Foy was built between the 11th and 12th centuries. On its facade is the Tympanum of the Last Judgment from the same period. It is illuminated from May to October during the “Nocturnes de Conques” to discover a revisited polychromy.
The interior of the church houses 250 Romanesque capitals spread over two levels: the lower part and the Tribunes. The latter are accessible during the Nocturnes to be closer to the medieval capitals and the contemporary stained glass windows of Pierre Soulages.
