They hunted the great mammals (mammoth, bison) here, and sheltered in the cover of its walls as they went about their daily nomadic activities. Archaelogical research has uncovered successive periods of occupation by humans, from Neanderthals to Cro-Magnon. Visit the Archéosite des Fieux, set up in modern buildings integrated into their natural surroundings. Plunge into the world of prehistoric Man and learn something about archaeological techniques.
