About
Located at around 800m from the abbey, this chapel was built away from the village. We know very little about its origin. A fellowship from Notre Dame de Piétat was confirmed to be there from 1493 onwards. It was especially in the 18th century that it grew and became more beautiful. It is from this period that date the alterpiece and beautiful wooden vault named “for the birds”. It is worth noting that a part of the chapel dates back to the Roman period and that a vestige of mural painting is visible on the wall of the nave.
