About

Romanesque church

Romanesque church of schist, sandstone and marble dating from the 12th century. Small building with a single nave, finished by a hemicycle apse and crowned by a bell-tower-wall. On the north wall is the marble entrance door, from 1823.The church is covered by small flat white stones called Lauzes. The walls are decorated with wall paintings from the late 12th or early 13th century. The church underwent transformations in the 17th and 13th centuries: the apse was walled and repainted, a small sacristy was attached to the south wall, and a window was pierced.
