Castle Gramont
GRAMONT , Tarn-et-Garonne – Cultural heritage
About
A Gascon castle in Lomagne.
A delicate Renaissance architecture in the heart of the Pays de Lomagne. At the limit of the departments of Tarn et Garonne and Gers, the castle of Gramont dominates a hilly landscape.
From the 13th century castle, the imposing Simon de Monfort tower still remains, to which a large dwelling was added in the 14th century. From the end of the 15th century, the construction of a wing in the style of the Renaissance was undertaken by the Voisin family. A real invitation to the sweetness of life, the Château de Gramont opens its richly furnished rooms to you and takes you into its French gardens for a delicious moment of relaxation.
In Gramont, the castle, classified as a national monument, offers its visitors an original and changing face. Initially medieval, it was enlarged during the Renaissance and expresses all the personality and character of a beautiful residence in the South-West in which life is good. Its French-style garden, the viewpoints it offers over the surrounding landscapes, its furnished rooms, the refined details of its architecture make Gramont one of the essential stops during your stay in Lomagne.
