CHÂTEAU DE SOUM

LOURDES , Hautes-Pyrénées – Cultural heritage

About

Originally called the “Villa Fournau” and later “Le Château de Soum”, the building was built by the lourdais architect Jean-Marie Lacrampe for the Fournau Family (former lourdais hotel family) in the years 1900-1901. It was then bought by Mrs Suberville who in turn sold it to the City of Lourdes during the first years after the 2nd World War to set up a Professional Training Centre. From 1974 to 2009, it was the seat of the Tribunal d’instance. Today, the building is home to musical, cultural and artistic associations. Traduction automatique par DeepL via DATAtourisme
