Public establishment approved by the Ministry of Ecology for missions of knowledge and conservation of wild flora and natural habitats. It is one of the 11 Conservatories grouped within the Federation of National Botanical Conservatories.
It operates in the French Pyrenees and the whole Midi-Pyrénées region. Its head office is located in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, in the former Salut baths, in the heart of the classified site of the Salut valley.
