About
Gandoulès, a small haven of peace
The small church of Saint-Pierre de Gandoulès, a jewel of Romanesque art (12th century), a visible witness to the history of the Quercy Blanc, is home to a real heritage treasure with one of the rare bells dating from the 14th century and still working in Occitania. The two bells in the bell tower were restored in 2018.
At the same time, a third bell was designed, cast at the Cornille-Havard foundry, then demoulded on site in Gandoulès and finally hoisted into its bell tower by force of arms. This new bell, “Marie”, reflects what is lived in the heart of the Hamlet. It rings out joy, sharing and friendship.
