The church of Montjézieu is built of beautifully dressed stone. The apse vault, with its semi-dome, and the side chapels, with their rib vaults, are meticulously crafted. The stones used for the triumphal arch are slightly yellow, while those of the chapel arches are distinctly lighter, lending the whole a harmonious appearance. The wooden pulpit is particularly noteworthy: resting on a single pillar, it is surmounted by an ornamented spire featuring various motifs (lilies, trefoils). Its panels depict in relief the figures of the four Evangelists holding a book, recognizable by their attributes (the lion, the bull, the eagle, and the man). This pulpit, the seat at the foot of the stairs, the tabernacle, and the confessional in the left-hand chapel form a cohesive ensemble of carved wood. In the chapel on the right, a wooden sculpture representing the Virgin and Child surrounded by two angels faces a painting of the Sacred Heart of Christ.
