ÉGLISE LOURES BAROUSSE

LOURES-BAROUSSE , Hautes-Pyrénées – Cultural heritage

About

Loures-Barousse would have been founded in the XIVth century around a small chapel dedicated to St Roch by the Cagots and the local undesirables. The primitive 15th century church that stood on the site of the war memorial was destroyed at the beginning of the last century. The present church has kept a few statues: a virgin in majesty and a Saint Blaise, probably from the 16th century. See also the cupboard of the sacristy and the seat of the celebrant (work of the Rogel family). Traduction automatique par DeepL via DATAtourisme
