At 54 meters it is the highest in the department behind the modern bell tower of Saint-Orens in Montauban.

In the 12th century and probably since the 10th century, the first Notre-Dame church was the priory of Moissac Abbey.

This first church was destroyed during the Hundred Years’ War (1337-1454), and rebuilt and enlarged from the 15th century. The top of the brick bell tower dates from this period. It is built on a massive, older, white stone base (perhaps from the original construction of the priory).

This bell tower is part of the first classification campaign as a Historic Monument in 1840.
The church was again partly destroyed during the Wars of Religion. The nave was rebuilt, larger, as was the rest of the church, rebuilt in a neo-Gothic style in the 19th century.

The rose window is inspired by that of the Abbey of Beaulieu-en-Rouergue and presents the 7 sacraments;
