About

The restored 12th-century church within the ramparts.
In front and all around: the old cemetery.
At the end of the 19th century, 3 levels of burials were discovered: monolithic sarcophagi, caisson tombs with slabs, and tombs dug into the rock.

Underground, during work carried out in the late 19th century, 3 levels of oriented burials of 3 types were found in the former cemetery: monolithic sarcophagi of antropomorphic form, caisson tombs formed of slabs and serving as covers for the lower tombs, tombs dug into the rock with cephalic notches.
They date from the 6th / 7th century – Visigothic group (according to bone analysis).
Other rock burials scattered around the area date from the Early Middle Ages.
