Dating from the 12th century, the church of Sainte-Madeleine d’Arcomie is built in large granite units. It proudly presents a bell tower with a single floor and three bays occupied by two bells, erected in 1808 as indicated by the date engraved in the stones of the bell tower. The entrance is through a south portal with an ogival vault
Inside, the church has a single rib-vaulted nave. It serves two side chapels also vaulted in quadripartite arches. They both house a statue of the Virgin Mary. In the northern chapel is an altarpiece with a golden Virgin and Child. They also have the particularity of being decorated with the only two stained glass windows in the building.
Two statues of Saint Madeleine, holding a monumental cross and treading on a skull, and of Saint Privat, in bishop’s robes, are nestled in the north wall of the church. Traduction automatique par DeepL via DATAtourisme
