The Hôtel Cabrières-Sabatier d’Espeyran, housed in a 19th-century town house, is home to the Decorative Arts department of Montpellier’s Musée Fabre. This historic residence offers visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle of bourgeois and aristocratic society in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Hôtel Cabrières – Sabatier d’Espeyran has preserved all the elements that made up these flats, creating a unique ensemble. In the faithfully reconstructed settings of its salons, this private mansion reveals its remarkable collection of furniture, as well as exceptional ceramics and gold and silverware. Most of this collection consists of furniture and objects bequeathed by Renée de Cabrières and her husband Frédéric Sabatier d’Espeyran in 1967.
