About

The church was inaugurated on 11 April 1849, and was built in the Neo-Gothic style to repace the Castelas which was past its prime

The remarkable polychrome decor was done by the painter Joseph Marinelli (1876). The church has stained glass windows in the upper part of the choir and the nave. There is a painted statue in the likeness of Saint Bardulphe. The marble altar comes from Notre Dame de Grâce and the baptismal font from Le Castelas. This church was restored several times between 1981 and 2010.
Legend of Saint Bardulphe, patron saint of the parish.
A Benedictine monk, who became Abbott of the Monastery of Bobio in Italy. Legend has it that he was responsible for monitoring a vineyard to keep wild animals from destroying it. Some thirty brothers came along to build a fence. When they were finished building the fence, Saint Bardulphe encouraged them to rest and to take a little food. But he only had a crust of bread, The revrend brother told him not even to worry about, for there was nothing to eat and food was rare to come by. “The Lord gave me this duck” answered
Bardulphe and he divided it into thirty parts. All were completely satisfied and had plenty to eat, and if anything was miissing, faith made up for it”.
