LE MOULIN D’ARCIZANS DESSUS
ARCIZANS-DESSUS , Hautes-Pyrénées – Cultural heritage
About
Arcizans-Dessus village whose mills are part of its identity. One of them has been restored. Originally there were 22 of them, only 15 remain today. Their number testifies to the intense activity that reigned here three hundred years ago. There were more than a hundred millers in the valley in the past, grinding corn, barley, wheat, millet and buckwheat
This one can be visited in summer from mid-July to mid-August (or on reservation at the Town Hall, the rest of the year)
Arcizans-Dessus is also a place where you can walk or ride a mountain bike. Indeed, various hiking trails are available from the village: Col de Liar, Soum de la Pene, “Fontaine de Nabias” trail. Some of its characteristics make its charm, in particular its church and its sunny southern exposure. Traduction automatique par DeepL via DATAtourisme
