CRESPIN , Aveyron – Cultural heritage
About
The small farm in the Ségala region where was born Jean, was staged by a group of artists gathered by Bernard Cauhapé. The visitor walks among the moving, disturbing and facetious tales and stories of this 20th century major writer !
Reception, shop, garden, outside stage, various events, contemporary exhibitions, etc., are some of the components that give rythm to the life of this house.
For your visit, you will be guided for 1h-1.30h in this playfull route punctuated with interactive terminals, videos, staged dummies, photos, music, sound effects. A whole universe to explore !
Additional services : conferences, temporary exhibitions, shows around the occitan culture (South of France).
Trilingual site : Occitan, French and English. For all types of public.

For our disabled visitors :
You can park close to the ground floor reception/shop. Then, you have to cross the courtyard to enter the writer’s childhood home, still on ground floor.
As we are talking about a typical house of the Segala region, there is a 2nd floor. You can access it thanks to an interior elevator. However, for the 2 last rooms in a row, as there is a flight of steps, you’ll have to go down and out, and use a laid out path to go round the house, especially to have access to those rooms. A way to enjoy the visit until the end !
