Maison Marot

SENAILLAC-LATRONQUIERE , Lot – Cultural heritage

About

The Marot house is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a peasant building from the beginning of the 18th century, which has come down to us without major upheavals. It is also a living testimony of the way of life of the inhabitants of the Haut Ségala through the almost 3 centuries that separate us from its construction, thanks to all the objects that have accumulated there and that have been preserved. In December 2019, this old farmhouse donated to the association Visages de Ségala by 25 heirs was awarded the Bern Mission managed by the Fondation du Patrimoine, for its restoration-conservation project and its ambition to make it a place of memory and exchange on local culture.
