In this museum, an essential cultural witness to our ancestors, located in the 18th-century consular house, discover the daily life of the Lacaune people from 1700 to 1945 and the many reconstructions of scenes from life in days gone by.

Housed in the old consular house opposite the famous Fontaine des Pisseurs, the Musée du Vieux Lacaune invites you to relive 200 years of history.

Numerous reconstructions of real-life scenes plunge young and old alike back into the past: the fascinating destiny of the Enfant Sauvage (wild child), the thermal baths at Lacaune-les-Bains, the moral lesson learnt by schoolchildren of yesteryear…
Sixteen rooms featuring costumes and tools retrace the daily life of the Lacaune people and the history of the village from 1700 to 1945.
