Discover the local heritage of the Barousse valley shaped by water, from prehistory with the reproduction of the prehistoric cave of Troubat, to our days with the animated model in sound and light of the Barousse valley and the great cycle of water on a water wall as well as interactive models on domesticated water.

Book a visit to the springs and the filtration station of one of the largest rural drinking water networks in France, serving 250 communes.

Take advantage of an immersion in the heart of nature, in our large wooded park equipped with tables, starting points for walks accessible to all and its nature, leisure and creative activities, at each school vacation, also possible on reservation for groups of 10 people.

Reservation is required for the animations and creative workshops.
In the Barousse Valley, at the foot of the famous Balès pass, open the doors of the Maison des Sources and discover its many curiosities.

– This ecomuseum is a gateway to all the riches of the Barousse Valley, shaped by water from prehistoric times to the present day. It gives all the keys of its resources, its local heritage, its inhabitants as well as those of one of the largest drinking water network in France.

– Nestled in a large wooded park, crossed by the Ourse stream, equipped with picnic tables, a walking path leading to the Château de Bramevaque, you will enjoy an immersion in the heart of nature, numerous cultural and sporting events.
The Maison des Sources offers tours of the local heritage of the Barousse region, including a reproduction of the prehistoric Troubat cave, the great water cycle, with models in its eco-museum, and a tour of the spring catchment and filtration plant supplying 250 communes, enhanced by a meal for groups, bookable from 24? upwards.

In the large park, it is possible to book environmental and nature workshops for groups: discovery of the aquatic environment, hiking, orienteering, tree house, insect house, archery, creation with a fablab…
These workshops are offered to the public every school vacation, subject to registration.

Open to the public:
visit to the springs at 10:30 a.m. only, not possible in the afternoon.
