PARC DE L’USCLADE

LAMALOU-LES-BAINS , Hérault – Cultural heritage

About

With its majestic cedar trees, Usclade Park is the “green lung” of Lamalou-les-Bains. Formerly the property of Paul Cère in the middle of the 19th century, the park now belongs to the Chaîne Thermale du Soleil spa group. This peaceful place attracts many walkers and features a pretty little 19th-century bandstand, an old pump room, the mine where the Uscalde spring that supplies the thermal centre emerges, and an old steam room created in 1891 for steam baths and inhalations in an old copper mine tunnel (not accessible to the public).
