About
This exceptional park houses the largest box wood maze in Europe.
The parc is listed and is classified Jardin Remarquable (remarkable garden) by the Ministery of Culture. The chateau was built in 1734 by the Marquis de Chalvet Rochemonteix, royal seneschal of King Louis XVth. The Marquis also created an immense 30 hectare parc including a maze with 6km long alleys lined with high box trees. The garden also boasts a six-hundred-meter-long lawn, a ball room, a pond and umbrella pines.
