Frontignan

FRONTIGNAN , Hérault – Point of interest

About

Seven kilometers of beach awarded the Blue Flag.

Four miles of beach, regularly awarded the European Blue Flag for the quality of the water and the environment: that’s just one of the attractions of this seaside resort. For several hundred years, Frontignan-la Peyrade was a fishing port, then a commercial port and now a pleasure port.

The town and its inhabitants are closely and passionately bound to the Mediterranean, so you’ll find the spirit of the sea is alive and well here. Far from any concrete, sterile seaside resort, you can explore the coast, the wild beaches, the riches of the rocky seabed of Les Aresquiers, or enjoy the peace and calm of the canals and the lagoons, which are some of the most beautiful on the Hérault coast.
There are all sorts of activities on offer: rambling or mountain-biking in the Gardiole Massif or beside the lagoons, strolls in the former saltpans, sea-fishing and watersports (kite-surfing, sea trips…).
