LA HOURNERE
AGOS-VIDALOS , Hautes-Pyrénées – Restauration
About
The word Hournère is pronounced in the village of Agos-Vidalos by accentuating the letter H which is blown. It means in our Occitan language a room equipped with an oven.
Local organic cuisine with vegetarian and vegan dishes. The fresh vegetables of the day: they come mainly from the village’s crop farm. The vegetables in a raclette are a real treat for the taste buds. The cheese of the Pyrenees: it tells a story of men and women, it is an ancestral know-how transmitted from generation to generation. It is also the story of valleys, of its pastures, of its torrents and waterfalls. The cheese makes us discover landscapes and a mountain culture. The sausage is also local. We are fortunate to live in a place where animals, including pigs, are free to roam. .
Raclette also in summer ! After a hike, it is vital to regain strength, the fresh air is tiring. The giant raclette is convivial, each one chooses what he puts in his plate, it is the occasion to share between holiday makers. The pizza is made in an artisanal way, to take away or on the terrace it is for me the family dish, it can be eaten with the fingers, it is tactile what a pleasure! We offer a discovery table where the chef Luc makes surprise pizzas to share.
