REFUGE DU HAUGAROU

AUCUN , Hautes-Pyrénées – Restauration

About

A copious and generous cuisine, quite simply !

The refuge is located at 1200m altitude, in an unusual setting, in the heart of the Abedet forest. It overlooks the magnificent Bergons valley. It is located at the foot of the unavoidable Pic de Bazès, on the GR101 and the GRP Tour du Val d’Azun. In this unusual setting, you will be able to taste (depending on the season) garbure, various omelettes, cold meats and local cheeses, dish of the day, home-made lasagne, blueberry pie, pancakes, ice cream… .

The refuge can also organize your events, with family or friends, in a warm and friendly atmosphere (the chef will offer you the cake!) 18 beds are also at your disposal, do not hesitate to contact us for more information. The refuge is accessible by car in the summer (by the road to the Col de Spandelle or by the Col du Couraduque) and only on foot, snowshoes or skis in the winter (by the Col du Couraduque). Numerous hiking trails start from the Refuge (on foot in summer or with snowshoes in winter).
