1 hour 19 from Rodez. Stop: Bourg. Welcome to the Raspes du Tarn. This wild, narrow part of the Tarn Valley is lined with schist rock and lies downstream of Millau.

1 hour 41 from Rodez. Stop: Gare Routière. This bustling town lies in the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park in the Roquefort area. It's a great spot for outdoor activities.

Hire a mountain bike and ride one of the many trails exploring the surrounding Rougiers area, the Saint-Affricain greenway or venture as far as the Roquefort cheese cellars.
