Sainte-Enimie

40 minutes from Mende. Stop: Parking Gravière. The medieval village deep in the Gorges du Tarn is listed as one of the "Plus Beaux Villages de France". Sainte-Enimie is a great starting point for hiking or canoeing down the Tarn.

55 minutes from Mende on the Causse Méjean. A forest of over 400 stalagmites: 600m underground.

About 1 hr 20 from Mende. Stop: Office du Tourisme - Place Sully. The Causses and Cévennes meet in the village of Meyrueis, on the edge of the Gorges de la Jonte in the Mont Aigoual foothills.

10 min from Sainte-Enimie. Bus stop : Crt.RD907 bis. An exceptionally beautiful village on the left bank of the Tarn.

Go over the big and beautiful bridge or walk along the Tarn Valley footpath to reach the village. It has a magnificent Romanesque church and narrow lanes. Find out more

La Malène

The village has held onto its bygone charm with narrow lanes and little houses that have stood the test of time, sheltered by Rocher de la Barre. The village is the easiest place to reach the Tarn from the Causse de Sauveterre.

Le Rozier

Le Rozier lies between the Gorges du Tarn and Gorges de la Jonte. Le Rozier was famous for its pottery studios in Gallo-Roman times .

It became a major religious site when monks came here in the 11th century and built Saint-Sauveur Church, now listed as a Monument Historique. Find out more
