1 hour from Narbonne. Stop: Rue de la Promenade. Tuchan is a pretty circular village deep in a land making some of the best Corbières wines in the Aude area.
This village in the Mont Tauch foothills has had an eventful history and is close to the Cathar Château d'Aguilar (1 hour's walk). It makes an excellent base for hiking through landscapes leafy with vines and cypress trees. Take your pick from hiking trails including a fantastic slice of the Cathar Trail leading to Quéribus, the hilltop citadel. Tuchan is home to the Corbières-Fenouillèdes Regional Nature Park.
