Colombiers

24 min from Béziers. Stop: Mairie. The village of Colombiers and its small port lie on the banks of the Canal du Midi and its greenway.

This is the place to hire a permit-free boat and sail along the canal, stroll along the banks or take a guided tour of Malpas Tunnel. Hit the 8km footpath from Le Malpas for the Ensérune oppidum, its famous archaeological site and fabulous views of the star-shaped Montady dry lagoon. For more information.

30 min from Béziers. Stop: Mairie. Soak up the history of the village on an educational trail introducing you to the iconic three mills in the rolling landscape.
