The 875 "Cahors - Lauzerte" liO bus runs along the top of the Lot Valley to two beautiful Quercy Blanc villages: Montcuq and Lauzerte (deep in the "Moissac - Lauzerte - Auvillar" Grand Site Occitanie). 

  • Period: summer.
  • Days: daily from July 1st-August 31st (including bank holidays), Saturdays and Sundays in June and September.
  • Start point from Cahors: Gare SNCF.

Montcuq

45 minutes from Cahors. Stop: Bourg. The Montcuq keep (open in summer) towers over the dazzling white stone village from the top of a conical peak.

The singer Nino Ferrer was born here (there's an exhibition about him at the keep) and Montcuq has a southern feel to it with café terraces, pétanque under the plane trees, local delicacies and flower-filled lanes. Find out more. 

Lauzerte

1 hr 10 from Cahors. Stop: Bourg - Place du Foirail. Lauzerte is a "Plus Beau Village de France" that looks out across the Quercy Blanc's orchard-covered hillsides between Lot and Tarn-et-Garonne.

The former bailiwick's wealth is clear from its fine architecture, which combines Gothic and Renaissance styles. The bustling village is a stage on the Way of St James (Le Puy trail). Find out more.
