The town is known as the “Pearl of the Gevaudan” At the confluence of the rivers Allier and Langouryou, Langogne is a place where various epochs coexist. The maze of narrow streets and low houses are typical of the Middle Ages. The 18th century is reflected in the high slated-roofed grain halls, which nowadays host the market.
