Since July 2017, a cultural space has been dedicated to Paul Fontan The Bonnot gang and Paul Fontan (1880-1914) “Musketeer of the 20th century”. A permanent exhibition that perpetuates the memory of this local boy. Paul Fontan, born in Aignan in 1880, to parents who were schoolteachers in Castelnavet, chose the special military school: Saint-Cyrien then Garde Républicain in Paris. On April 28, 1912, he actively participated in the arrest of the anarchist Jules Bonnot in Choisy-Le-Roi. Paul Fontan often distinguished himself by his acts of courage and bravery. You will discover documents, photos and a rich correspondence inherited by the descendants of the Fontan family.
